STYLEEXPO OPENS IN LA’S FASHION DISTRICT



Styleexpo now offers its photography services to Southern California’s apparel and jewelry industry with the opening of a studio in the heart of the fashion district at 719 S. Los Angeles Street. In considering where to expand their successful New York based business, LA was top of the list. Aside from being home to many of the big denim and active apparel brands, LA is becoming increasingly the locale of many independent designers making it a perfect location for Styleexpo’s 2nd studio.
Established in 2000, Styleexpo has been providing the apparel, accessory, jewelry and gift industries with professional high quality digital photographs and other marketing services at affordable prices. Unlike traditional fashion photography, pricing is not per product or per shot, but by the hour thereby giving the client more control over the volume of images.
Styleexpo co-owner Anibal Escobar says, “If a designer knows what they want from their shoots and can style their products, it enables our photographer to knock out more images in the time booked. With items like handbags or shoes, you are looking at 15-18 shots in an hour which means prices can be as low as $10/shot with our package pricing.”  Moderate retouching is also included in the hourly fee. Prices start at $225 for 1 hour and go as low as $180 an hour if three or more hours are booked.
According to co-owner Tracey Schuster, “Having been a designer myself, I know first-hand how prohibitively expensive it can be to get high quality digital shots and with our pricing we can service both the independent designer as well as the larger brands”. One Styleexpo photography package allows clients to get a low $165/hour rate by paying upfront for 10 hours that they can use in one or multiple hour increments anytime over a one year period.
Styleexpo is a dedicated photography studio open five days a week from 9am to 6pm.  In addition to photography, Styleexpo offers a menu of other services to assist designers in marketing their products.  They build custom, feature-rich websites that then can be easily updated by the client using custom made content management pages. However, unlike some online services, a real person is available to help when problems arise.
Styleexpo also offers search engine marketing (SEM) services. “Building a website is just the beginning for any business. Through our SEM services, we work with the client to build brand awareness and drive relevant and profitable traffic to their website,” says Roberto Ferrito, Styleexpo’s SEM Manager. 
For many clients, using the full menu of Styleexpo services delivers the best results.  “Styleexpo offers all the services I need under one roof,” says Barbara Feinman owner/designer at Barbara Feinman Millinery. “After I started doing SEM, I had the best sales I have had in 12 years of doing business.”
Other services include line sheets, look books, product videos, catalogs and trade magazine ads. In conjunction with the opening of the LA studio, Styleexpo is offering 15% off any booking in November.
