Market Restaurant and Catering is growing at a steady pace and is hiring for offsite catering events such as weddings, corporate events, special dinners, etc.

Prior restaurant or catering experience is great but if you are energetic, willing to learn and have a positive attitude, please inquire.

We do have 4 large catering events in the next two months that need to be staffed so we are anxious to hear from you if you are interested.

Market Catering pays between $15 - $25 per hour depending on the type of event and your skills.

hello fellow designers,

i am doing the ANNUAL LAFS (scheduled for JUNE 5th) sample sale for my daughter's NON PROFIT preschool near downtown. the school is called Los Angeles Family School. LAFS is a wonderfully diverse and progressive school located in silver lake for the last 34 years. i am hoping you could participate by either donating and/or allowing us to sell anything you would be willing to give us for partial donation. the profit goes directly to continuing teacher education. financial aid for lower income and single parent families and much needed classroom supplies and upkeep.

the sale will consist of home goods, clothing, accessories and jewelry.

the options are,

- donated goods 100% goes to LAFS (this can be anything from damages to whatever you would be willing to part with)

- giving us goods to to sell and the school will take 30% of the sales, 

we will pick up and drop off. all payments will be made within 4 days. we will provide all racks and tables and staff. we will provide all tax forms for your donation. 

 

last year we got excellent press for the event, dailycandy, LA weekly, refinery 29, blackburn and sweetzer, racked LA.com,  etc....so there is a great press opportunity here as well.

2010 Market Dates

Just wanted to review the rest of 2010 LA Market Dates with you.

Finally, we will have a new Monday thru Thursday format for June and August!  The dates are June 14th - 17th and August 9th - 12th.

For October we will follow our traditional Friday thru Tuesday format.  Those dates are October 15th - 19th.

Please, please, please note there is a conflict with Dallas in August.  Currently, the dates scheduled are August  12th - 14th!!  Yikes!
