Dear Members and Friends of TALA,
We are currently preparing for our annual Holiday Party, which will be held on Friday, December 18th, 2009 at the Cooper Building, for the inner-city children of Los Angeles. This year's event promises to be bigger than ever and we are asking for your support. Along with serving hot dogs, ice cream and soda to children that otherwise may not celebrate this holiday season, Santa Claus will make a surprise visit and bring them gifts. We are in need of donations of unwrapped toys for boys and girls (ages 7 to 12), as well as monetary donations that will be used towards food, decorations, etc. We are expecting around 175 children this year and want to make sure it is a memorable experience for all. If you are able to donate, please contact Sue in the TALA office at 213-627-6173, or you can mail a check payable to TALA to the above-mentioned address. Your generosity will be greatly felt among the children and all who participate in making this event possible. It will be our 65th annual party, and we look forward to many, many more.
