About the Covenant House:
For more than 20 years, Covenant House has been an open door to thousands of homeless kids... providing them with a safe environment, education, employment and, most importantly, a chance to become independent, self-sufficient adults.  We operate as a multi-service agency, with locations in the heart of Hollywood and Oakland.  Since 1988 we have helped more than 100,000 homeless youth.

The kids who come to us for help are often victims of physical and sexual abuse.  Many are aged-out of the foster care system of trying to escape gang membership or a life of prostitution and violence.  Our work begins on the street with our outreach vans and continue through our crisis care and transitional living program.

Education is a top priority at Covenant House because it is the key element in the personal development of our youth.  Our CHC employment skills program offers a variety of skills, training, educational counseling, tutoring and courseworkd towards earning their GED.  It is among Covenant House top  priorities to offer our youth a pathway to stability and independence through education.

I appreciate your time to read this and concern to help give.  I know the kids really appreciate any gifts as they are without families.

Thank you again and have a wonderful Holiday!  I look forward to a successful 2010 for all."

Thank you,

Lisa Elliot-Rosas
